'The True Snow White'?
I stumbled across this site this evening:
www.thetruesnowwhite.com/
Anyone heard about this? It's apparently a faithful-to-Grimm's novelization of the tale. There's a free e-book download of the first few chapters.
I love retellings of Snow White but this doesn't quite hit the mark for me personally - I really enjoyed Gregory MacGuire's take in Mirror Mirror, as well as the shorter stories by Tanith Lee, Jane Yolen, Neil Gaiman, Priscilla Galloway and lots of others. Interestingly, I can't think of one I really enjoyed that is a very close retelling of Little Snow White or Snowdrop though.
Thoughts?

Re: 'The True Snow White'?
From the description I read, it doesn't seem closer to the story than many others.
Of course, there is the little issue that developing a fairy tale into a novel or even a short story requires expanding the elements that a fairy tale can cut short but those works need. Like, motivations.
