Vist any fairy tale blogs?
I know Endicott has a blog, but I've really found very few blogs
that center around fairy tales. http://ullam.typepad.com
is a blog about fairy tale style and art, and it's really the only
fairy tale blog I've found other than Endicott. Does anyone know
of any others? I'm looking for anything - art, essays, news, etc.

Endicott is good. I wrote to a couple of writers on that website a while ago but no reply. This seems to be the only active board on fairy tales...

Re: Vist any fairy tale blogs?
Hmm, interesting. I think a blog would be cool...I wouldn't mind doing it myself but I'd have to do a little more research about blogging. What would people want from a blog about such things? I'll have to think.

Re: Vist any fairy tale blogs?
Veronica Schanoes and I belong to a (quiet, but hopefully growing) LiveJournal community of fairy tale writers. Currently the membership is for professional writers only, but the moderator (that would be me ;) ) is thinking of expanding the membership to include serious-but-un/underpublished writers, as well. But ANYONE can come read:

Thanks Elizabeth, it looks interesting. I'm not really a writer but I'll check you guys out when I check my livejournal.
I guess I'll ask in case I would ever want to do a fairytale blog -
What kind of stuff would you want from such a blog? What do you think an average reader would be looking for?

Re: Vist any fairy tale blogs?
I would say that an average reader would just stop by to look for information on new arrivals (if it can't be obtained at, say, amazon.com), check on rumors of an author's work about to be published, etc.
You could get a good idea going through the posts in this board to get a gander on user's expectation :)

Re: Vist any fairy tale blogs?
Thank you for those links. Ullabenulla especially is a great find.
I've been looking for fairy tale blogs myself -- I was delighted
when Endicott finally did one -- and I recently posted a roundup
of what I'd found so far on my blog: bluewyverntea.blogspot.co...blogs.html
A lot of good stuff, but few that are truly or purely "fairy tale" blogs. It seems like there should be more!

I forgot to mention, there's also TrollMoon, which I found in the Endicott links shortly after I wrote that post. Excellent posts on folklore, at least if you like trolls.

Re: Re: Vist any fairy tale blogs?
Thanks for the troll blog, bluewyvern. I feel like there should be more blogs too, and I'm seriously considering making one. If only I actually knew how to blog. :) The thing is, I would want it to appeal to more than just the serious, scholarly crowd. I'll keep considering.
