Lesbian version of Demeter
Hi there. This isn't a publication exactly, but it is an original storytelling event in New York City. I will be telling a rare lesbian version of the myth of Demeter and Persephone at a funky Chanukah/solstice event sponsored by the Jewish Community Center in Manhattan. Please come! (The rabbi who will be telling stories with me will tell a story about Adam and Eve, and another Chanukah tale, that I'm sure will also be quite wild!)
All the best to all of you fairy talers,
Donna Minkowitz

Enjoy a magical fifth night of Chanukah and an early winter solstice! In between the fires, mythweaver Rabbi Jill Hammer and storyteller Donna Minkowitz and singer/songwriter Avi Fox-Rosen will capture the enchantment of the season with stories and songs of light. Celebrate the winter festival with fiery rituals: havdalah (end of Sabbath), tekufah (the beginning of winter), and the Chanukah lights. The evening will end with Rabbi Nachum Kaunfer's joyful JewishPrayerDance in celebration of the new season.
Holiday snacks provided.
Co-sponsored by Romemu, Tel Shemesh, JewishPrayerDance, and the JCC
