Re: school project on fairies
I recommend Katherine Brigg's Encyclopedia of Fairies. It would help you narrow down the subject matter a litte.

Re: school project on fairies
Hi Kymmy -
Reference books like Companions and Encyclopedias are excellent places to start when you're in the process of selecting a topic for a research project. Ask the reference librarian at your public library which area to look in for information about fairies. Then, because these books can't be checked out, once you find a section (usually organized alphabetically) that you really like, make a photocopy right there in the library. Articles have great ideas for cross references, too. You might find some book titles and end up checking a few out!
Hope this helps. Good luck. : )

Re: school project on fairies
There is a lot of information on fairies in this issue of the "Journal
of Mythic Arts" webzine: www.endicott-studio.com/jMA06Summer/index.html
I wrote an article for it on the history of fairy lore, and there are also articles on Italian fairies, Hungarian fairies, Cherokee "little people," and more.
Good luck!
