need help for modern tales
I'm going to write my degree thesis on fairy tales. I'm particularly interested in mother-daughter relationship and I choosed Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. Since my purpose is to show how soocial changes influenced the evolution of each tale, I collected versions of Basile, Perrault and Grimm. Now I'm looking for feminist modern version which focus on mother-daughter relationship from alternative, antipatriarchal viewpoints.
I read Jane Yolen's THE MOON RIBBON for Cinderella , which I loved; Tanith Lee's WOLFLAND for Little Red Riding Hood which didnt really appeal me. I also read Angela Carter's tales but I didnt like them.
CAN ANYBODY HELP ME FINDING OTHER TALES AND THEIR CRITICAL ESSAYS PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!!

You should check out any Datlow/Windling anthology where you will find many many fairy tale redactions.
Then also check out: Pat Wrede's BOOK OF ENCHANTMENTS, Vivian Vande Velde's BROTHERS GRIMM & SISTERS WEIRD, Neil Gaiman's SMOKE & MIRRORS, Emma Donoghue's KISSING THE WITCH, and my SISTER EMILY'S LIGHTSHIP.

Yes, most definitely try Kissing the Witch: Old Tales in New Skins by Emma Donoghue for some very alternative revisions. Also Olga Broumas's poetry collection Beginning With O. You'll find a critical discussion of both authors in the later chapters of Elizabeth Wanning Harries's new book Twice Upon a Time: Women Writers and the History of the Fairy Tale.

Also Gwen Strauss's fairy tale poetry collection Trail of Stones. It may be a little harder to find than the Sexton, but it's well worth the effort.
