The Queen's Mirror
Hi all.

Has anyone read "The queen's mirror : fairy tales by German women, 1780-1900" yet? I didn't even know it existed but ordered it immediately from Amazon after discovering it in the library today.

Re: The Queen's Mirror
Dear Erzebet:
It's a wonderful collection; they really contextualize the influence of women upon the German Romantic movement and literary fairy tales beautifully, and many of the stories are wholly otherwise unavailable in English. Personally, I really enjoyed Catherine the Great's "The Tale of Fewei" and Bettina von Arnim's "The Queen's Son." Enjoy it!
