Myth and Theatre Festival: Jealousy
I thought I would tell you all about a festival I will be attending, as no one has made mention of it. The 9th Myth and Theatre Festival will be in New Orleans (city of myth and mystery...) July 25-29. The festival is a collaboration of eperts in archetypal psychology, mythology, physical theatre and other mythic arts. This years theme is "On Jealousy", exploring the dynamics of the green-eyed monster within myths and literature from around the world.
I thought that Jealousy is a fantastic ingredient in the world of Faery, as a whole lot of trouble has been stirred up because of one character's envy of another character. I'd like to hear your thoughts on jealousy as a driving force in fairy tales.
