Performance in the Present Tense
Dogon PM
11/21-11/23
Shooting stars, orbiting planets and the rising sun tell the story of the Dogon people of Mali, West Africa in Dogon PM. An interdisciplinary arts project, Dogon PM utilizes music, digital media and spoken word in this celestial journey through African myths, science and folklore. Dogon PM is a galactic exploration of the heavenly bodies in four cosmic movements reflecting dawn, noon, dusk and midnight. Collaborating on this project are Homer Jackson, creator of Dogon PM, and Douglas Ewart and Mogauwane Mahloele, composers and lyricists. Funded in part by American Composers, and the Forum and Rockerfeller Multi-Arts Production Fund.

Painted Bride
Thanks, Nalo,
I'm going to try to see this, as well as post it to a few Philadelphia area art lists.

Coolness. Let me know what you think, Greg? I'm going to miss it by mere days.
