answer to story w/ flying box
For the archives, the story I asked about w/ the illustration of the child flying across the sky "in her mother's box of reels" is "The Reel Fairies" by Mrs. (Mary) Molesworth 1842-1921, in a collection titled "Stories by Mrs. Molesworth" published by Duffield & Co., NY, 1922, w/ color illustrations by Edna Cooke.

how did you
How wonderful...I've been puzzling over that post--how on earth did you track it down? Where should we have looked?

Bravo!
I must say, I applaud, admire, and envy your research skills ... very impressive to find the source on the basis of such a small clue. Please: Tell All.

Indeed!
I, too, must know where you found this, and how!

I am just floored.
