Greetings
I'm planning a research paper on eastern shapeshifters. My target area is between India and Japan. I searched through the boards and read an article on a Korean Fox Demoness as of yet. The critters I have in mind include the Lamia, Kitsune, as well as any other shifters people could supply me with.
This is highly vague. I intend to cut down to two or three, possibly comparing legends out of different areas. All help would be appreciated.

novel: The Fox Woman
Don't know what field your paper will be--anthropology, litaerature, something else entirely--but a superb novel based on the kitsune legend is Kij Johnson's _The Fox Woman_. An historical fantasy, but nonetheless it is possibly the best first contact story I've ever read.
