Looking for specific version of The Gingham Dog and...
I'm trying to track down a specific illustrated edition of a book. The book contained two stories/poems: one was "The Duel" (or "The Gingham Dog and the Calico Cat") by Eugene Field and the second I can't remember but was a tale about a fantasy land made of candy where a special bird lived. I remember this particular edition was a tall-ish thin book, maybe in baby blue and pastel tones. Not much to go on, but if anyone knows the particular edition, publisher or illustrator, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Try checking the titles listed for Eugene Field on www.bookfinder.com. Bookfinder is a metasearch engine which searches several large book databases, both used and new. Perhaps one of the titles listed will jar your memory or match your description.

The second poem you describe is The Dinkey Bird, by the way. I was raised on Eugene Field and fairy tales.
