Norse Legends - help?
Hey, all you helpful people. (Insert winning smile.) Just finished an all-night binge of Everworld books. (If you havn't read them but are in the mood for something easy and fun to read, they're by K.A. Applegate. A YA/children's author. About a universe made up by all the different pantheons, when they decided to ditch this Earth. And the five teenagers who are sucked into it. Not always entirely accurate, but they're really enjoyable - there's actually an entire book touching on the African aspect of things, too, which was interesting.)

Phew. All that to say my interest in the Norse Gods has been re-awakened. I know very little about them. Can any one recommend a specific (more-or-less comprehensive) book that might help me learn a little more?

Thanks for the thought.

Re: Norse Legends
If you want an overview first, maybe try this link:
www.pantheon.org/areas/my...ope/norse/
The site contains lots of data about mythology in general and even gives links to other sites.
Other than that, it seems the best way to know about Norse mythology is the Edda, but I'm not very sure it's the easiest... (I still have to read them)

Hope it helps

Norse Mythology
Hello! I am a senior in high school, and last year I took a class called Myths and Legends. We used a book called World Mythology. I forget who the author was, but it was insightful. It explained each myth a little, and showed comparisons to fairy tales, as well as telling the myths themselves. There was a lot on Norse mythology. You might want to check it out!
