interpretations of bluebeard
hi,
I'm really having a lot of trouble finding various interpretations of the fairytale Bluebeard if anyone has any interpretations of Bluebeard of any kind just post it on the board.

I'll toot my own horn here a moment and suggest you get a copy of "FITCHER'S BRIDES" (Tor Books) if you want a currently available interpretation in novel form. Available, among other places, from Amazon (click through from SurLaLune if you order it that way).

There are dozens and dozens of variations on the Bluebeard tale, just within a complete Brothers Grimm collection, but many more outside it. The introduction to my novel, written by the series editor (and SurLaLune contributor) Terri Windling, covers almost all of those, too.

Yes, do make sure you read Terri's intro and Greg's book. Terri's article/intro is one of the best I have read on the tale. You can also read the article online at:
