My fairy tale films!
Hi,
I am making a series of musical, but dark fairy tale films. I was wondering if you would like to change or add anything to them. Here is my list:
Snow White
Cinderella
Red Riding Hood
The Red Shoes
The Wild Swans
The Goose Girl
Hansel and Gretel
Briar Rose
Rapunzel
Bluebeard
The Frog Prince
Beauty and the Beast
Rumpelstilstskin

Neat
That looks like a major project. It also looks like you've got all the stories that people usually know. How are you doing the films? Animation, live action, etc?
And the major question, of course, is when will we have a chance to see them?

Info!
It's all live action(except for birds and things that are CGI). There produced by my small company Golden Films. We will sell them in October. At least Snow White and possibly Cinderella. When they are all finished we will plan a box set with tons of special features. You can contact me at cmoore0013@aol.com for any info you care to know.
What I really need is you're info on what I should do with the others. I know Im going to make them dark, but I need you're input. From sets, costumes, music, or character designs. Anything. If you want, you can even help me with the scripts.

darker fairy tales
What will you be useing for the music to you're films? I only ask because i'm an un known composer so i try to get projects to built up a resume. plus i've been wanting to write music for farie tale films

Well, the musical numbers are from already existing songs. The score is mainly just music from other movies. I'd be happy to use you're music. Send me a Cd or something like that.

Wow, that's quite a feat your undertaking!
I've always wanted to see a film version of Rumpelstiltskin, that was a little on the horror/macabre side, I think that would be quite amazing. As long as the acting is good, and the costuming, and its atmospheric, it should be grand.

This is great!
It does seem like a huge project, but it'll be worth it. I wish I could post pictures on here. The darkness of the films will be lessened by the musical numbers, but the atmosphere is stil dark. I mean how can you make Rumpelstiltskin, Hansel and Gretel, or Snow White happy tales. Even the Disney Snow White was dark.
Jane, I have never heard of Cats Laughing or Boiled in Lead. Where could I find them?
