? The White Hart by Nancy Springer ?
I'm looking for some help; I just finished 'The White Hart', and
I want to find out some more about the story behind it. It
feels like a retelling of a Celtic myth, but I don't know enough
about Celtic mythology to know where to start looking. Can anybody
point me in the right direction? I still have to find the other
four books in the series!

Wow--I'm looking forward to the responses you get. I remember being dazzled by this book when I read it as a child. I could never find the companion novels, and to be honest I've forogotten everything about it but the mc's name and the fact that I loved it. I actually haven't heard of or thought about this book in about 15 years....

I've never read the books myself, but I'm intrigued. This isn't the first time I have received questions about them and they have been recommended to me in the past. The trilogy of companion books sounds like something Sharyn November might consider for the fantasy classics reprints she is producing through Firebird Books, especially since Springer has published under the imprint before.
While out of print, I did find the books listed on Amazon. These are listed according to the books' internal historical order.

The Sable Sun
However, that doesn't answer the original question. Can you offer more information about the stories for those of us who haven't read them?
