magic absorbing monsters!
Has anyone ever heard of a mythological monster that absorbs or eats magic? It seems that I've read something about one before, but I can't remember where and can't seem to find anything online.

Well, I can't remember anything like that right now, but do You think the way the Proto-Bulgarians "took" the life and magic power of their chiefs would do?

Not the idea of the sin-eater...??
Don't know if you were thinking of the sin-eater who absorbed all the transgressions, memories and knowledge of a person into himself in exchange for absolution.

I never quite got the sin eater thing.
Are they absolved of THEIR sins or the ones they take on from the other person? Seems kind of self defeating if both don't go away...
