Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean "MirrorMask" film
Ok...I know I am slow to learn this probably...but I just found out Neil Gaiman and Dave Mckean along with Jim Henson studios is producing a fabulous sounding film, MirrorMask

Here's the blurb from Sony Pictures homepage:

"MirrorMask centers on Helena, a 15 year old girl in a family of circus entertainers, who often wishes she could run off and join real life. After a fight with her parents about her future plans, her mother falls quite ill and Helena is convinced that it is all her fault. On the eve of her mother's major surgery, she dreams that she is in a strange world with two opposing queens, bizarre creatures, and masked inhabitants. All is not well in this new world - the white queen has fallen ill and can only be restored by the MirrorMask, and it's up to Helena to find it. But as her adventures continue, she begins to wonder whether she's in a dream, or something far more sinister."

And my favorite: Check into the Muppet Central News for more photos and release dates at www.muppetcentral.com/news/2003/072103.shtml

Has anybody else heard about this?

Film screening at SD Comic Con
There will be a advance screening of MIRRORMASK on Friday afternoon of the San Diego Comic Con. Neil and Dave will be making a special appearance to talk about their experinces in making the film. Everything I've seen on it has, so far, looked amazing. I will be in attendance at the con (Green Man Press, Booths # 4713 & 4715, come by and say hello if you're there) and hope that I will be able to make the time to see it. But with over 70,000 people in attendance it tends to be rather over whelming to say the least. I'll report back if I do manage to see it.

Best,
charles
