Sara Maitland
Quick question: Is Sara Maitland's On Becoming a Fairy Godmother the same book as her Angel Maker, with a different title in the US? I can't find a listing for the first on amazon.com, and the reviews on it in amazon.co.uk refer to the second.

Re: Sara Maitland
No, Angel Maker is not the same book as On Becoming a Fairy Godmother; it's a collection of her previous fiction (including stories first published in A Book of Spells). It's wonderful -- a mix of myth-inspired, fairy-tale-inspired, and realist fiction. You'll love it.

Re: Sara Maitland
I will definitely obtain it one way or another! Has On Becoming a Fairy Godmother just not yet been released in the US, then? I'm very intrigued by it and want to check it out!

Thanks, Terri!

Re: Sara Maitland
No, I don't think it's out in the US yet. The edition I have is from Maia Press in the UK. You can get it through Amazon.co.uk.

(Remember, if you use the Amazon.com link at the bottom of the Surlalune homepage, then go to Amazon.co.uk from there, you'll be tagged as a Surlalune customer and Surlalune will get a small kick-back from the sale, which helps to support this board.)
