Ancient Spirit, Modern Voice
The "Ancient Spirit, Modern Voice" exhibition at the DeFoor Centre in Atlanta, curated by Charles Vess and Karen Shaffer, is now open to the public. I hear it's stunning. Congratulations Charles and Karen!

Here's the info:

Thank you!
Last Saturday night as Karen and I stood in the Defoor gallery, after spending six very long days uncrating and mounting over 100 pieces of art (which included super glueing one tiny pointed ear and several loose fingers back onto several of Wendy Frouds absolutely lovely sculptures!) I felt totaly exhausted but elated by the presence of so many very fine image makers in one space. A united mythic voice indeed.
The exhibition would not have happened without the tireless efforts of many, many volunteers as well as the faith that Michael Karlin and the Mythic Jouneys organization placed in us.
I hope that those of you that can, will make it to the exhibition but if not we have produced a lovely 48 page, full color (and hardcover) exhibition catalog to commemorate the event.
It WAS worth all the considerable effort and now I feel like I want to sleep for a million years...
        Best,
Charles

Re: Thank you!
Sounds marvelous. I may have to get the catalog, since there's not much chance I'll be able to make it over there.
