Susanna Moore
I wonder if anybody on the boards has read Susanna Moore's Sleeping Beauties? Does it have anything to do with the fairy tale? Is it a revision? Does it use fairy-tale motifs? The amazon reviews aren't telling me anything!

Re: Susanna Moore
I vaguely recall reading The Whiteness of Bones and another of her books (could have been Sleeping Beauties, can't remember) ages ago. They are realistic novels and any fairy tale resonances are likely to be very subtle.

Re: Susanna Moore
The book does make use of Sleeping Beauty themes, but in fairly subtle ways -- it's not a direct retelling. It's a contemporary novel set primarily in Hawaii, and though it's been years since I read it, I recall liking it.
