Re: Arg! I got outbid!
Two new items just added to the auction: an original Lord of the Rings drawing by Alan Lee (the Oscar winning art director for the Peter Jackson films), plus two signed copies of the first edition of Alan's illustrated version of The Lord of the Rings. If y'all know any Alan Lee and Lord of the Rings fans, would you please pass this info on? Thanks!

Almost over...
The main part of the auction ended last night, but there a still a number of items for sale on the auction page. These are artworks and books that arrived late, and thus Duirwaigh Gallery is letting them run for a full seven days of bidding....including a rare copy of the special signed limited edition of Charles de Lint & Charles Vess's Seven Wild Sisters, a Lord of the Rings drawing and signed books from Alan Lee , Connie Toebe's fabulous fairy tale box, a lovely and mystical photograph by Stu Jenks, charming faery dolls by Wendy Froud, gorgeous art by the children's book illustrators Lauren Mills and Dennis Nolan, and more.

The auction closes completely when the final item (the Alan Lee drawing) has had its full 7 days of bids (on Feb 23).

Many, many thanks to everyone who has bid thus far. We don't know what the final tally is yet, but we've definitely earned enough to keep the Journal of Mythic Arts going, through the generosity of the mythic arts community.
