Lorrie Moore's Juniper Tree
Award winning short story author Lorrie Moore has a eerie little modern take on The Juniper Tree in the recent New Yorker Magazine (January 17, 2005). Highly recommended!

Hmmm--it becomes clearer to me everytime I read New Yorker fiction how truly old-fashioned I am. I just don't get it. Some time I shall have to sit down with you, Midori, and get a lesson in reading that kind of fiction.
