Angela Barrett Interview re her Snow White Illustrations
Just found this and thought I'd share:

Interesting discussion of her inspiration and work, particularly with regard to her Snow White Illustrations. Be sure to click on the pictures to see the enlarged and wide versions.

Thank you, inkgypsy, for this. Angela Barrett is one of my very favourite illustrators, and it's always a pleasure to read about her and catch up with what she's doing.

By the way, people, not connected to fairy tales but worthy of note all the same : Angela Barrett has recently illustrated a biography of Anne Frank. Officially aimed at the older child, I believe this would be a treasure for anyone of any age. One of the things I admire about her work is its sensitivity to atmosphere, whatever the theme.

I was lucky enough to see the Snow White work in London at the Magic Pencil exhabition where I was introduced to Angela's work for the first time. Since then, I have bought all of her books. She did a very nice version of the story of Mary Shelley called Through the Tempests Dark and Wild
