Black & DiTerlizzi Notebook for Fantastical Observations
See it Here

I just found this book and could not resist picking up a copy for my nephew. It's a companion to the Spiderwick Chronicles, but it's in the form of a guided journal, with space to record such wonders as:

--Drawings of Creepy Shadows
--Things I've Cut Apart to See What They're Made of
--A Map of My Neighborhood Showing Where Trolls Live
--Instructions for Care of a Small Dragon
--design-your-own creature trading cards
--a fill-in-the-blanks goblin comic strip

There are also several short stories about various creatures of Faerie interspersed with the activity pages.

It's delightful, creepy, and hilarious. And strangely beautiful. Just thought I'd pass it along!

And just WAIT till you see the Field Guide. I have had an early peep at the drawings, and Arthur Rackham, eat your heart out!
