What happened?
Just wondering what happened to the boards--where did the forthcoming publications go, and the other topics? Is everything all right?

I was wondering too. I'm a newcomer (posted in a thread yesterday) and am only starting to get used to the boards here. It's a shame to see all those details of good books just wiped out.

EZBoard was maliciously hacked, unfortunately. Hopefully the missing topics will be restored, but EZBoard is still surveying the damage and loss. There is a message from EZBoard that I have made visible on the top of the topics page if you want to read more.
And to think I almost started to archive May's posts yesterday, but told myself not to be over exuberant. At least if the posts are lost permanently, we only lost part of May and not more. There were some excellent posts, but it's been a slower month. We haven't lost the recommended books list that was one of our meatier topics this month.
A pox on power hungry hackers....

Oy voy..this is horrible. Endicott is still out...but for the brief moments yesterday that the site was up all I saw were deleted posts...Today we are back to the error log message. Heidi, I am going to email you about archiving...never occured to me before that it might useful...but I think I am going to start!

Oh, Midori, that's even worse than here. Hopefully this hacker will be caught and fully prosecuted. More and more are these days. I capture source code for each page and then edit it to fit into the template I have created for the archives. It's not fun, can be tedious, but I haven't discovered a better method so far. Besides, I end up reading more than I caught the first time around when the posts were fresh, so it's always an education. I am sure I learn more from this site than anyone else.

Argh. I hate those people. The Interstitial Arts boards
were hit, too. Do let us know if there's anything we can do to help.
For instance, the message says that in some cases money disappeared
from the community chests. Did that happen to us? If it did, we
can replenish it.

Some topics are restored!
Thanks to the hard work of everyone at EZBoard, some of our topics
have been restored. I don't think we will get the topics that have
fully gone missing from May, but ones like the Good
book for a 9 year old? is back. I was hoping we wouldn't lose
those lists permanently! That's why I procrastinated recreating
my part. The restoration continues so perhaps we will get more...
