Fairy tale art show
Last year about this time I mentioned a possible fairy tale art show in Chicago. A bunch of you emailed me asking for info, etc. The last I heard (last summer) was that the show wasn't going to happen.

Well, lo and behold, I received a phone call from the gallery a couple of weeks ago. It seems the gallery has a new director and she decided to go ahead and have the fairy tale show.

I will 5 pieces in the show. I hope that some of you who wrote to me are in the show as well! I didn't have anything to do with organizing the show so I'm not sure whose work was chosen.

In any case the show is titled "Once Upon a Time" It is at the Orleans Street Gallery in St. Charles, Illinois (that's the western suburbs of Chicago). The show runs from April 2 - June 4. Hopefully some of you can make it out and see what contemporary artists are doing with fairy tales themes.

Darn, I didn't pursue this because I thought the show wasn't going to happen. Ah well.

Connie, I've posted a notice for the show in the Visual Arts/Gallery Exhibitions thread of the Endicott Bulletin Board.
I hope it goes very well, and that you sell all your beautiful boxes.

Hey Connie,

I didn't pursue it either, thinking it wouldn't happen.

I saw the beautiful piece that you donated to the Duirwaigh Gallery online auction, and it was just beautiful! Are you still planning to make the Little Red short film? Let me know, and good luck with your gallery show!

Re: Fairy tale art show
I wish I had known earlier that the show was going to happen. I would have posted again for everybody. As it was, the reason I got a call is that I send over a CD last summer when the show was still on and they hadn't sent it back. By the time they talked to me, it was all a done deal.

Thanks for posting the info at Endicott, Terry. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it to the opening, its my husband's birthday that weekend, but hopefully I can get out there sometime and see the whole show.
