AT Tale Type Index
Can someone refer me to "instructions" for using the AT Tale Type Index. I have Thompson's 2nd Revsion (1961), and his "Preface" does not address all the various organizational characteristics of the text (I imagine the 1928 edition does, but I do not have access to it).

Thank you,
Larry

Re: AT Tale Type Index
Try consulting Judy Sierra's Storytellers' Research Guide which contains a helpful section about tale types. This is a pdf file--try reading pages 35 through about 38 for the most useful info.

Re: AT Tale Type Index
Heidi, please. :)

It's not a comprehensive help, but it is somewhere to start.

The index still flummoxes me all too often. I rely on serendipity as well as skill when using it.
