Beowulf Question
I'm working on a paper dealing with possible Christian elements in Beowulf. I have found different opinions from different sources.

If I may ask, why is your opinion and why? Thanks!

Beowulf
Religion in Beowulf is mostly interesting because of the duality between the Christian and pagan elements. On one hand, as the story was recorded by monks, there are obviously many references to Christianity. For instance, Grendel is first described using the Bible story of Cain and Abel. On the other hand, when the men at Herot are being attacked they make sacrafices to the old gods; and when Beowulf dies, his body is burned.
