MoCCA - Fairy Tales and Comic Books
A bit last minute, but I figure it can't hurt ... if any of you are in NY, I'd love to see you!

On Monday the 28th of November (tonight) I'll be lecturing on fairy tales and comic books at MoCCA, the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art. So if you've ever desired the opportunity to talk about orality and visual aesthetics, d'Aulnoy and Richard Dadd, Scheherezade and the Green Lantern, rejoice! Below, please find a general description of the lecture, as well as directions how to get there.

Best,
Helen

Re: MoCCA - Fairy Tales and Comic Books
Thank you! Aside from my PowerPoint presentation crashing just as I was getting to the image-heavy section on modern comics (which ... grr) it was a lovely experience. I'll have to see about doing something similar at ICFA ...
