The Erl-king
Hello,
I'm interested in the Angela Carter tale "The Erl-King".Does anyone know of other versions of this tale?

You may already know the pretext for Carter's story, a ballad by Goethe. If not, there's a translation at www.cs.rice.edu/~ssiyer/minstrels/poems/920.html

Liz Hand wrote a wonderful modern take on the legend in her story The Erl-King, published in the Spectrum anthology series, in Volume 7 of the Year's Best Fantasy & Horror, and in her story collection Last Summer at Mars Hill.
