Goblins and Mirrors
There is a fairy tale I read when young I could swear it was Hans Christian Anderson's. It involved goblins and a mirror that's all I can remember.

I was just thinking about the mirror in the Snow Queen tonight-- that was one of my favorite parts of that story, the mirror that reflected opposites. (I've used that as a metaphor so often in doing therapy}. Perhaps you won't mind if I expand the topic a bit and ask folks here if anyone knows of fairytales other than The Snow Queen or Snow White in which a mirror is a major part of the story? I'd like eventually to write an essay on mirror symbolism in fairytales. Thanks!
