combine forces
Hi there, I notice that many of us are writing dissertations... and would probably much rather write books...however, I was wondering if anyone would like to get together (via email obviously)and discuss dissertation writing methods. I don't know about you but my tutor has been somewhat less than helpful.
It would also be quite interesting.

You're right about preferring to write novels instead of dissertations ;)
I found the MLA guide rather helpful when I was working on my M.A. dissertation. There are also a couple of sites I found quite helpful with regards to academic writing. I'll post them once I find those links.
