Book of Fairy Tales from the 70's
Hi,

I am looking for a book that I remember from the 70's. It was a large volume of fairy tales and lavishly illustrated. I recall Cinderella, Hansel and Gretal and what I assume is the Firebird ( I remember a golden apple in the ilustration so I believe this is the story). The Six Swans and poss. Thumbilina were also in it as well as many others. The illustration style had princesses with long tossled hair and everyone had bushy bangs and 70s full hair, even the wigs were very full. Large eyes. It is not by any of the illustrators in this site. I do feel like one Cinderella scene may have been modeled (a nod to) Kaye Nielson and his illustration of from the Twelve Dancing Princesses, i recall the Prince being in black and a similar composition to the illusatration:

I am an illustrator myself and these images so shaped my sense of design and style. I am heartbroken that my mother gave the book away. I have scoured ebay, amazon, the web for old books. Is there a dated listing somewhere of Fairy Tale books that I can dig through? So far I can only find turn of the century and current books in any listing.

Thanks for any help.
