"Proserpina's Curse"
Greetings, and thanks to everyone on this site for your insightful comments about Peter Pan, Captain Hook, the Neverland, and the life and times of James M. Barrie.
The first draft of my alternative Captain Hook novel, "Alias
Hook," is complete. An extract, the short story "Proserpina's
Curse," will be published in the June, 2006, issue of Paradox
Magazine (on newsstands June 15).
"Proserpina's Curse" imagines the fall from grace by which a witty, educated, Restoration-era privateer-turned-pirate finds himself condemned to play villain to a pack of malicious little boys for all eternity.
