So now come to Readercon!
July 12-14
Burlington, Mass.
www.readercon.org

It's not about feminism or faery, but it IS about books and reading, and lots and lots of brilliant conversation.... The same sense of passion and camaraderie as Wiscon - I wouldn't miss it, and hope anyone within howling distance of Boston won't either.

Best,
Ellen K.

Hi, Ellen!
See you there, if I get my book in by then, and if I can be scraped off the wall afterward.

Gail: Send me your postal address through the Endicott site (endicottstudio@earthlink.net) and I'll make sure you get a copy of the WisCon flyer. I have a bunch left over, so I think I'll send them off to Readercon.

Carolyn,
I received my copy of "Outfoxing Coyote" today. It is, simply, wonderful.

Thank you Greg!
...for your kind words. It means a lot to me!That book really was a labor of love and I'm glad it's finally out!

Speaking of graphic novels (oops---that was another topic list---) will any of you or other Endicott folks be attending the big comic convention in San Diego, I think in July? I can never remember what it's called...we will be in Alaska performing over the 4th of July weekend so I hope it's not around then.

Terri, could you send me a copy of the flyer? I'd like to distribute it to my students before the end of the quarter (next week---sorry! I know you're super busy getting packed and ready to go...!)

Cheers!

Ease on down the road...
I'll be there too! It's practically down the road, so I'd be a fool to miss it!

Ellen, do you know what this year's schedule is, or who I should contact for more info? (The general info email listed on the site?) Do you need any assistance on that day for presentations?

Terri, if you like, I can run off more copies of your flier either printed off my computer, if you want to send the file, or have copies made. Let me know.

ReaderCon
Dear Ellen K.--

Thank you for posting about this, and for all your amazing work. I've heard this is a great gathering.

I'll actually be in Boston until July 9. So I might try to extend my stay (if I can rearrange some stuff) and attend/present. I gather it is probably too late to be an official attendee or reader, however. Maybe 2003 . . .

In any case, I will also try to get some flyers there, Terri et al, for Mirror, Mirror, whether I am there or not--I am keeping my fingers crossed that Anchor will come up with a postcard for Mirror, Mirror by then. If not, I will try to print something up for that myself. (Kerrie, I may enlist your help in getting them set down on the right table!)

Best,
Kate

Kerrie

Thanks
Kerrie,

Thanks for the offer. I think I will be able to take care of getting promo materials from the publisher(s). I've written to ReaderCon to see if I can have them put somewhere, say, on a table. If they are too busy to receive such materials, I may enlist you to bring them for me to the right place . . . that'd be great.

How lucky you are in the area and can simply attend! Be sure to have some of your own poetry books on hand to sell or otherwise distribute.

Best,
Kate

Readercon
Kate, it would be great if you could be there! Judging by the fact that I have not yet gotten my panel assignments, it may not actually be too late for you to get on one (and if it is officially too late to be listed, there are usually slots open at the last minute - or bossy moderators who happen to look a lot like me might even simply draft you...). They've got plenty of tables for leaving stuff on, no fear. And the Dealer's Room, by fiat I believe, only sells books (wotta concept!). Judith, here's hoping you make it up (the trip, not your novel... of course, you're making that up, too, aren't you, only different...)! Kerrie, no schedule yet, unless it's on the website - but if you can, do come for the whole weekend, as each panel and encounter seems to build on the next....

Thanks!
Ellen,

Thanks so much for this note. I've written back off board about Boston, etc. (to your email). Sounds like a great conference.

All very best,

Wiscon
Since getting back from Wiscon I've been lurking and getting caught up on all of the Endicott Studio and SurLaLune resources and discussions. What wonderful sites. Thank you, Terri, for distributing the flyers. I've particularly enjoyed seeing the list of everyone's recent publications. I hope to get to many of them soon. The Transgressor's panel at Wiscon has me all fired up for more reading.

Re: Wiscon
Well well one and all, I've gotten the photos developed and am in the process of getting them all scanned -- should be done in the next day or two. If those of you who appear in them would kindly drop me an email, I'll be glad to hook you up. :-) leave out the NOSPAM bit and send it here: lscheuer@NOSPAM.hotmail.com
