ABSTRACT

[This story resembles " Kari Trasestak" (see No. 30), except that the troll in the copper wood has six horns, in the silver wood eight, in the gold wood ten. Also there occurs the magic formula, "Light before, dark behind, etc."]

[This story resembles Kari Traestak (see No. 30), except that the troll in the copper wood has six horns, in the silver wood eight, and in the golden wood ten. Also this formula occurs:

"Light before, behind me dark!
Whither I ride no man shall mark."]
